If a .925 stamped piece of jewelry has turned, you are allergic to sterling silver. Being allergic to sterling silver has to do with the amount of acid in your skin.  

.925 stamped jewelry is NOT the same as solid sterling. 92% sterling and other metals. And to prevent tarnishing, .925 sterling silver items are coated with a hard Rhodium metal coat. However, when a person is allergic to one , they are allergic to both.

*You have an urge to rub your skin in the area you’re wearing sterling.

* Even though the item is stamped .925, it still turns in a couple of weeks.
